He´s graduated from Berklee Colledge of Music, L.A Music Acedemy, he´s made it to the final of idol 2008 and has acting backround in the famous “Jonsson Ligan och den Svarta Diamanten” and “The Best Intensions” directed by Bille August which was award as The Best Picture at Canne Film Festival in 1992. Ruff, Rugged and Raw! This dude is probably one of the best writers I´ve heard in Europe. His ability to tell his truth and relate to most of us is emaculate. He has toured the world with artists like Afu-ra, Busta Rhymes, Chamillionare and has released a street album some years back. He´s currently working to release his debut album some time this year and I´ve had a listen and think it´s one of the best I´ve heard in a long time. Cobra Flow Cliq is a group that has been around for about a decade making music. The group is is make up of two MCs L.C The Illest & That Dude Prince. The duo have been friends since 1999 and have done a lot shows ever since. Their stage presence is amazing! They have a chemistry like no other and watching them perform is a pleasure for the mind, body and soul. They have won a number of competitions like the 2005 Show Stockholm. Now, ten years in the making they have decided to release a mixtape each but are in the process of recording The Bombsquad Mixtape. The Illest Mixtape and The Vocal Shifter Mixtape are out soon and will be available for download at the end of the month right here so keep your eyes and ears out to the streets to get them.

I was on youtube looking for their music and stumbled on to this clip and ironicaly, it´s on the 2008 ung08 festival where Da Block Party is to be held and as you can see for yourselves, they are HYPE! Three words to explain Yaiya? Sweet chilly voice! I get goosebumps listening to her voice because she has a sincerity and honesty in her singing that make it hard to not smile and swing-a-long to. She has made it to the knock-out stages of the Swedish pop idol and has done quite a number of show around Europe and sweden. Yaiya will be the only female artist to bless the stage on Da Block Party so bring your friends a come show support to my home girl.

Troy Jamz aka “Big Head” is one of the multi talented artists of Stock-City. I mean my dude does everything from R&B, Soul, Rap, Production, Journalism and a whole lot more. He is currently at the Uppsala Reggae Festival doing a show amongst the biggest names in Reggae and is also gonna bless Da Block Party with a few tracks from he´s debut album “Skitzo”. One of my personal favourites is “Stockholm Anthem” and if you represent 08, then thats the anthem. Check it out!

Another one of the hottest and articulate MCs that will partake on Da Block Party, is no other than Deh Din Pojk´s finest, Pato Pooh. Pato has been suplying the streets of Stockholm with a traditional style of hiphop. With heavy rhymes and the ability to appeal to the public he deffinitely deserves he´s respect in the game. Pato made his brake through with the hit street single “Abhoow!” which trancelates to “Oh Shiit!”. This is a term used in Sweden by people in the projects. Pato has a couple of other bangaz out like “Warrior” and “On My Way” featuring Lazee.

Da Griot! One of Stockholms heavy caliber MCs will be attending Da Block Party. He will contribute with some of his bangaz from his mixtapes(Coutersy Flush & From Florida to Sweden). Aj is originaly from Togo Africa and was raised in Jacksonville Florida where he did most of his music and since his move to Sweden, he too has managed to make a name for himself both solo and with the Foundation Worldwide crew in the USA and Spain.
